“Do you care for some Earl Grey tea my honoured guest? Or shall I prepare something stronger? *smirks* I’m sure it’ll give you a much needed improvement.”
“Oh, dear me, look at my agenda, seems I’m not scheduled to give a sh*t this evening.”
*Grips tea-spoon and glares * “Bad form.”

= Behind the Name =
Yoichi is a popular Japanese masculine name meaning “First Son”. It was decided the name was very kawaii by her anime loving parents. And it seemingly followed tradition for her grandmother also bears a male name, to be honest it's a name Yoichi is quite fond of. Usually she prefers to go by ether Chi, or Michaelis, the latter being her name of choice, but she also goes by Ichi, or in the case of a few cool cat beans, Yo. Tea-leaf was given to her simply because she looks like tea leaves, and it’s no hidden secret she adores tea. = Gender in detail = Female, utterly female. She relishes in the knowledge her gender is one of grace and poise. Yet, her attraction to manly names would suggest otherwise, and in reality she takes on these masculine titles for the purpose of strength, authority, and equality. She is not a fluttering tea butterfly. It’s unclear what her sexuality is, and not many get the chance to ask between her pleasant smart talk, but it can be asserted that she is particularly partial to the female form and not very romantic. Seems she has a hard time finding someone that deserves her company. = Birthday in detail = 19 bean/human years old. She was born on the 13th of April in the northern Hemisphere. She is a Mid Spring baby and an Ares. = Detailed Description = Soft and fluffy, Yoichi is a well-groomed individual never leaving the house without brushing her luscious hair and licking the last strand away into perfection. Her cheeky, warm face is alight with one grass green eye, glinting an inner intelligence and feisty attitude, it's a mystery what lies beneath the right eye. Too bad they are often narrowed in wary shyness anyway. Her features are rounded but elegant, gorgeous in their own right with her long snout and lax ears. Brown, white and green-ish fur forms the dainty but strong patterns of a koi panda, heightening her unusual graceful appearance despite the fact her paws are overlarge affairs. Due to this she holds the air of one placing each foot down with delicate precision, attaining a dignified and purpose filled walk. The Right Eye: Not many notice her right eye, or the unusual circumstances behind it’s concealment. Probally due to the fact of Yoichi’s luscious hair covering its gaze, and therefor hiding it from view; out of sight out of mind as they say. Besides what’s under there but another gorgeous grass green orb? Some cluey individuals do wonder. Jayleo for one has managed to get close enough to brush the hair back after her “accident” and discover a swiftly shut eye, a slight luminosity emitting for the briefest moments before it was snuffed out. If asked why she keeps it closed her curt answer is always the same, “Accidents happen, never you mind.” The accident she is referring to was one that happened at eight years old. What’s actually wrong with her eye? No one knows. She only opens it when alone. = Build/size = Small and delicate with large paws suggesting she has a lot of size to fill, she reaches the height of a normal dairy cow. Although she doesn't seem to grow much at all. = Items = - Bamboo leaf earring in her left ear given to her by her Mothers - Fingerless gloves, she wears them to stop her large paws from chafing - Jumper with hoodie, she likes to hide in it when feeling exposed. - Anime styled green scarf, wears it for stylish purposes. - Bamboo wrap around taillett. - Two Tantō knives, one of the Kissaki-moroha blade type, the other a Hochogata. - Wears a Kitchen like Honyaki on her left thigh. |
= Personality =
-Elegantly Graceful-
Yoichi is a bean known for her poise and grace; she was born with an inner dignity that dictates her fluid movements. And while she doesn’t brag about her looks she knows her appearance is one of beauty. OK, I may of misjudged her on that one, she /does/ brag from time to time – “Oh dear that’s right, I’m as cute as hell.”
But it’s not only her natural composure which makes others stop and stare, no it’s her attitude towards the very word “refinement”, she is elegance manifested and holds an authority over herself and others. She is the pinnacle of good manners which house a feisty, wicked personality. As such you are always welcome in her home, and treated like a royal guest . . . If you don’t mind being subtly thrashed to death with honeyed words.
However for Yoichi this has come as a major downfall. In honing her own natural inclinations for the finer mannerisms of life she has hidden away from reality, used it as a shield for her insecurities to cower behind. Everything about her is false and stiff, she might give you the most welcoming and polite smile available but it’s no more than an uplifting of her lips. She has created a mask for herself which consists of niceties and pleasant small talk, but the lie has been told so many times she forgets if what she feels is real emotion or just a reaction she puts in place.
-Cheeky smart-assery-
And downright mischievous too, her trademark expression is a pleasurable smile, alight with a cheeky intelligence that suggests mysterious plans afoot. She often smiles when you’re about to be committed to a not so pleasant situation. Life is a game to her and she is a master player. Nor is she above using petty pranks to confuse her guests, such as moving an item and pretending it’d been there the entire time. It’s all in an effort to crack down her “enemy’s” mental state, slowly, steadily.
Thanks to Jayleo her wit is impeccable and she uses it to pick on the ones around her, not in a thoughtless way mind you, only if you’re being a little cretin or if she plainly doesn’t like you – “Indeed, perhaps you truly should turn your back to me, the front of you is most affronting, you poor thing.”
-Timid/Shy-
On the outside she is dignified, confident, and collected, however underneath lies a sense of worthless-ness. Yoichi is actually rather shy of others and tends to stay away from large crowds and gatherings when she can, preferring the company of her mothers, the only ones she trusts. She doesn’t know why people scare her so much but she sure will puff up her chest and show a little bravado. This is the only time you’ll see her off balance and vulnerable.
Sometimes she can’t rise to the occasion of entertaining fools and she hides away in her room, reading Manga and playing her Pokémon games. In actuality she is a massive otaku and if she ever wanted to be taken over by her shy, reclusive traits she’d be happy in her comfort zone of watching anime until the wee hours of the morning. But that is not her. She would never let discomfort rule her life, she must be worthy of the breath given to her – which is the main reason she led herself down a twisted path.

-Lazy ass fluff-
In conjunction with the above there are also days where Yoichi can’t be bothered with people at all, and while she might offer you tea and every mentionable nicety as a host, she will never go the extra mile for anyone. Asking her for a favour will be like trying to raise the dead, so unless you’re a reaper that just ain’t happening. This can make her seem like a fabricated, demon of a bean, you’d be spot on. Favours will only be given if there is mutual gain, she already has a ton of work on her minimal to-do list.
If by chance you do find yourself with, or in Yoichi’s favour, she’ll treat it as an unbreakable contract, you better do well and use her while you have the chance.
-Aggressive-
You might not think it – OK well you probably would.
Yoichi can be excessively aggressive when her honourable mannerisms are breached by those idiotic enough to pick a fight. She knows her knives, she knows them well. On the whole she isn’t afraid of drawing blood and harming another for the sakes of winning or protecting. The startling thing is, she is never uncouth while throwing blades and cutlery at an enemy, never enraged in a fight. Her anger boils up before the incident and is a good indicator to run. Luckily for most folks this aggression will only be seen in harmful qualities if a deed is truly despicable. Otherwise you’ll be let off with a simple warning by way of slitted glare and the words “bad form” silkily hissed through clenched jaws.
-Deep Dark Depths-
Yoichi has a dark interest.
In search of her own self-worth she stumbled upon not so pleasant realisations. By watching and reading all her Japanese cartoons she also unwittingly fostered a love for mysteries and supernatural creatures. Turns out stories do indeed have a grain of truth at their heart, and at the age of eight Yoichi made a terrible mistake. This “mistake” now fuels a lot of her personality and actions today and is the initial step she took down the aforementioned twisted path. She is on her way to being a hunter of hunters, killing the intangible and non-existent things along with assassinating assassins, or she will be once trained. She is very much a keeper of peace truth be told, peace and order, and in this way she can curb the anger she feels towards herself, her shyness and the little self-worth she has.

= Quirks =
- Absolutely adores tea of all variety’s, she likes to stand in the tea section of the grocery store and imagine what they’d all taste like. One day she’ll own them all! - In conjunction with above she’ll assign all the different teas Pokémon names, her favourite types getting her named after her favourite Pokémon. No one actually knows she does this per say. - Runs her talons through her hair when feeling content. - Likes to stash things in her pouch, like her Mimi’s game discs. - Can be found with silver cutlery on her person, most commonly are knives and forks. - Loves supernatural myths and folk lore, also has a dream of hunting down hunters. = Voice Description and wording = Her voice is fluid and easy on the ears, filled with determination, pronouncing each word carefully. It never breaches into the high decibels, and is accented with the occasional rumble of the typical English nobility class. She is impeccable with her manners, and inserts them in her speech using words such as “shall, may, please, excuse me, oh, ect.” However she will often be insulting while paying you a compliment. She is also renowned for using the term “bad form” when angered or annoyed. = Pouch Innards = Stolen game discs from her Mimi’s collection, along with a collection of mini beanie plushies of her favourite anime or Pokémon characters. She also keeps a miniature china tea set for tea parties with said plushies. . . Although they are nowhere near as dainty as they sound normally exploding into arguments akin to Hetalia. She also has silver cutlery, including tea-spoons. |

= Family Relationships =
Mother Mouse: All the love she can muster is deposited onto her mothers, and as such Mouse is one of the rare few beans permitted to touch her hair, in fact no one but Mouse can style or cut it without losing fingers. Mouse is also the one bean she’ll run to for help in any problem, normally this will be about how worthless she feels, and how she wishes she could make a difference in the world. Mother Ning Zhu: HUGGLES! Mimi is Yoichi’s huggle bean, her soft side is invoked whenever the panda bean is nearby. These two will often lounge around and play games or generally be lazy together, who cares for the days troubles when you’re playing Portal or watching anime. Yoichi will even loose her dignity and dress up in cosplay for local conventions, a past time she’s secretly always loved – hence all the trouble she’s get herself into when younger. Brother Wade: Yoichi feels uncomfortable about having a sibling, for her entire life she’s been an only child, and it’s soothing having her mothers and no one else in her household. In short she treasured the lazy days when she could be herself. Now she has an intrusion. Not only this but she has no idea how she’s supposed to feel towards him. He has not gained her trust yet he’s family, does that mean he should automatically be trustworthy, or should she treat him like every other soul and assess his usefulness in place of emotional bonds? Until he hatched she’d stare at his egg moodily, these thoughts swirling in her minds. Now she tries her best to stay clear of him, watching him from afar which comes off as harsh. Mentor Logan: Heh, not what you'd call a perfect mentor-student relationship. For all appearances these two seem to be the Senpai and the diligent apprentice but it's nothing of the sort, Yoichi is at constant war with Logan and his teaching methods - in fact the only reason she puts up with him is because, despite her raw will-power, she needs a teacher. And Logan is the only one who'll put up with her crap. She still hasn't gotten an accurate read on why he's giving her any time of his day, but she senses a sincerity in him to make her life better. Deep down, she holds him in the highest regard, not that she'd ever say such a thing. ??? Strider: Yoichi doesn’t keep many friends, and even the ones she does hang around are often a way for her to imitate normalcy, as if she’s trying her best to find a worthy bean to counteract her unworthiness. And when they don’t live up to her expectations “friends” are always fun to amuse one’s self with. Not Strider. Strider is no friend, no enemy, he is no nothing. She looks upon the bean with a mixture of respect and dislike, her tolerance for him goes only as far as to coax a game of wits, one Strider does not care to play. His cool, detached demeanour to the world at large infuriates her. How can he be happy not proving his worth to the universe? She sees him as a waste of space, but one that she envies and admires. Friend Jayleo: Jayleo is not like the other beans, she is clever and bright, full of life and achievement, she took Yoichi in stride no matter the glares thrown at her. For this Yoichi is grateful, she feels she can be herself around the blue adventurer and relishes in their verbal battles. Her room is always welcome to Jayleo, as is her tea. Apart from her Mums Jayleo is the only one able to worm a favour from her, and in doing so Jayleo never asks. The only down side is A) she is taken to another which dashes poor Yoichi’s crush, and B) her mate is an assassin. Someone she despises. "Friend" Dale: Heh, yeah. Dale is too oddball for Yoichi’s liking. Her only connection to him is by friend and Jam link, and she’d prefer to keep it that way. He has no skills she needs and even if she could somehow ask him to use his gift of Listening her arrogance wouldn’t allow it. It seems he has a way of seeing into her soul, and she never knows what that wind is whispering to him. He can keep to his own world with his uncanny speech, and she to hers. She has enough work keeping the peace in her bubble of paradise without protecting his. Opposite Kalari: No so much of an enemy of sorts as a down right nuisance to Yoichi’s existence, not to mention an opposing force to every personality trait she possesses. Kalari is brash, uncouth, loud, and a grotty grub disguised as a dragon. She laughs for no good reason, has a sense of humour that is idiotic, and will act on impulse to make a fool of herself. To Yoichi, Kalari is a dragon of no poise or manners, she can stay away or fear Yoichi’s degrading tongue. "Friend" Vulture: Known to Yoichi as Reaper, Vulture’s creepy personality intrigues Yoichi unlike Dale. The pale bean holds a certain amount of cunning which is overly fun to play with, even if it’s discomforting to hang around her. I suppose you could say this bean is a way to pass the time when normalcy becomes suffocating. And well she does hold a lot of knowledge about the creepy and vile. Equal Harper: The universe shivers when these girls are in each other’s company, as if one creature was enough now there’s two. . . Yoichi is conflicted on what to think about Harper and her perfect false smiles, she is the only one who can be granted the title Equal - The dark bean is a rival tailored just for Yoichi. This in itself is easy enough to comprehend and a challenging game erupts from it, one that redefines what you’d call “normal” or “friendly”. However it’s what Yoichi is beginning to feel for Harper that sets her mind on edge, the fake flirting might not be so fake after all and certainly she holds Harper in a higher regard than she should, halting schemes and actions out of respect. Or could it be attraction? |
